Team

Ollila Lab is led by Dr. Hanna M. Ollila and includes senior researchers, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral researchers, graduate students, and collaborators working on sleep genetics, narcolepsy, brain autoimmunity, population genetics, and computational biology.

Hanna M. Ollila

Dr. Hanna M. Ollila is Group Leader at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), University of Helsinki. Her research focuses on genetics of sleep disorders, narcolepsy, brain autoimmunity, rare sleep conditions, and links to psychiatric disorders.

Selected Team Members

The team includes researchers and trainees such as Martin Broberg, Vilma Lammi, Satu Strausz, Lea Urpa, Tommi Strausz, Tiia Parmanen, and other lab members contributing genetics, clinical, computational, cellular model, and cohort expertise.

Tiia Parmanen

Tiia Parmanen is a graduate student in Neuroscience at the University of Helsinki. Her research in the Ollila Lab focuses on validating molecular targets identified through genetic association studies using neuronal cell models and functional follow-up analyses.
